Implementation of the Quality System in Pljevlja Coal Mine JSC
  The quality management system was implemented in Pljevlja Coal Mine JSC back in 2002, making us the first company from the energy supply chain in Montenegro to certify a quality system according to the international standard JUS ISO 9001:2001.   The certification was carried out by JUQS Belgrade, which awarded us our first certificate for management systems.   Management systems have for many years been a strategic commitment of the top management in achieving universally accepted goals – improving overall operations through continuous performance enhancement of all processes, consistent compliance with legal regulations, increasing stakeholder satisfaction, as well as strengthening employee competence and motivation.   The quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015, as well as the occupational health and safety management system in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, have been integrated into a single Integrated Management System (IMS). This IMS was implemented in the operations of Pljevlja Coal Mine JSC and certified by the international certification body DEKRA in February 2021.   The laboratory of the Pljevlja coal mine is accredited according to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025, which confirms its expertise in testing coal quality in accordance with the highest international requirements. Accreditation confirms that the laboratory applies validated test methods, provides reliable and credible results and operates in accordance with the established quality system. The scope of accreditation includes the following methods: ISO-18283:2022 Coal and coke — Manual sampling; ISO 589:2008 Coal - determination of total moisture;
